My personal highlight at the PartnerCON 2016 last week? David T. Fagan: 2 hours on Wednesday morning Non-Stop high valuable content! He started his thoughts with the remark; if you think you learn something which changes your thinking just say “Breakthrough.” All of us received his book “Cracking the ICON CODE” and 5 of us a further book gift for the biggest breakthroughs…The title of the Session: From Invisible to Invincible: How to Be Seen, Be heard & Get Paid” Packed with practical advise. The Description says it all: “”Bottom line: You´re in the wisdom business. People are paying you for your advice. You are the product you are selling most and you have to answer the question prospects are really asking the most…”Why You?” That one question can show up in all these ways “Why you and not something else? Why you versus doing nothing at all or just do the same thing as always?” I´m going to show you how to crush that question and convert more leads into sales through influence, credibility and exposure.” Allison H. Larsen invited me to the speech and also introduced me to David afterwards. No wonder 95 % of his business are referrals… Margarete and I were fortunate enough to meet David´s business partner Melissa Gallemore. It´s the first time I told my “life story” in the USA since I moved to the USA in December 2013. Margarete did it, too. It felt a kind of funny but also relaxant, something looking back with a little smile and the girls promised us to visit us in New Orleans soon…we look forward to welcome you´ll in our lovely city!!! David will be my topic in my speech at our newly founded Advanced Toastmasters Club tomorrow.

Fernanda has been a Hyatt Regency New Orleans team member since re-opening in 2011. She started as an Operations Manager before moving to Director of Stewarding , and she finally became a member of the Sales Team in 2014. Currently she handles the Lousiana market.
In her free time Fernanda enjoys running, going to music concerts around the city and traveling to Spain & Argentina to visit her familiy and friends.
Margarete and I met Fernanda on a Hyatt clients welcome event in July! It was all about splendid food variations the hotel cooks can create. And it was great food. Fernanda and Chris organize clients events on a monthly basis. It is all about creating clients experience in the hotel. The next “Happy Hour” will be on 9-29-2016 between 5:30 – 7:30 pm in the Hotel this week!
One thing I can promise you: It is fun working with Jimbo Marshall. Last Friday Margarete and I were in Murrells Inlet in South Carolina for our first professional video shooting. Translating words into a visual message is an art. We needed to simplify our language and shorten our message. We even totally changed my funnel and the communication goal of my message. That was a little bit much to digest for me but probably the best thing we could do… I am looking forward to the (end) result and keep you posted.
Margarete spoke German, English and French. I never realized how different facial expressions and gesture appears between different languages. That´s enormous. New Orleans will become more internationally next year and I suggested Margarete to get prepared for this.
Start to communicate by video now if you haven´t started yet. Periscope, YouTube and Facebook…yeah even Instagram is a must and if you want to reach a younger audience also SnapChat…I have been told SnapChat Story Designer is one of the most lucrative jobs right now:—))) Video is the most efficient way to reach your audience and build the necessary trust to work with you.

Daymond is one of our (borrowed) “ambassadors” at Apps Strategy to value the Infusionsoft user group invitations in New Orleans.
Why do I talk about him now? Yesterday I received a comprehensive written email about his approach: “The Power of Broke”. The subject line was: “A Quick Touch Base and Exclusive Video From Daymond John”. That created curiosity. After a longer intro Daymond offered a practical solution in his email: “The first video I am attaching is called, Power Of Broke Case Study— Pulling Down The Gates. This video is a great example of thinking outside the box and how you can use creative thinking in place of limited capital to expose your brand to the world.”
It´s addressed to a defined target group: “The Power of Broke was written to change the mentality of how entrepreneurs can use broke to their advantage and how empty pockets can be your biggest strength! I have to admit, this has been a very long and hard campaign but it has been worth it as it is a message I feel extremely relevant and something I am very passionate about. My goal from the beginning has been to try to open peoples eyes to the power they have inside of them when they feel the world is against them and they have all but given up.”
That´s quite different than the last email I received in April with three direct links to his great branding video to his last Email with the subject line: “Why Branding is Important” .
Another little change between the two emails I discovered: Daymond wrote me as Daymond(AT)daymondjohn.com and communicates daymondjohn.infusionsoft.com instead of Daymond(AT)sharkbranding.com and tb114.infusionsoft.com . That shows a clearer commitment for the Infusionsoft brand and a focus on personal branding…And I also found some essential ideas to improve his email communication. Watch out – I write about it soon!!!
