There was another interesting search result within the Collision app: “affiliate” and “affiliate marketing”. Dan Novak , SVP Global Marketing, PR and Communication of Qualcomm showed up first a view days ago. He was followed by Affiliate Summit CEO´s Shawn Collins and Missy Ward. And that´s it. Nobody else is searchable for these words until now. I definitely don´t believe that we don´t have more people interested in this subject. And this search had changed. Dan doesn´t show up at all anymore within the search but he will be publicly on the sport stage to discuss “finding the right formula”. Whatever this is… I will ask for answers personally. It would be also interesting to know why he was searchable for affiliate marketing.
Qualcomm might loose Apple Inc. as client according to a press release a few days ago. That´s a big change! What are they going to do instead? For those of you who would enjoy a valuable information to prepare for the Collision Conference are welcome to click HERE to receive a conference playbook.
When you search for PaddyCosgrave.com you end up at the WebSummit. Paddy is one of the key player of this key tech event. It had grown tremendously over the last years in Europe and world wide. Collission produced by the WebSummit is the equivalent in the USA – and in New Orleans for the first time this year. People get curious about which impact this will have on the tec-world. Today I got an email letter of Paddy and I don´t know why because I actually already signed up for this event…and I found myself within the attendee list…What do we do with data at Collission? What should be the goals of interaction within this event? Love to talk to you in New Orleans Paddy! Maybe at the BIG IDEA Event tomorrow? It´s my new home…
But for those of you who didn´t sign up yet..hurry up!!!
This is the mail of today…
I’m in New Orleans this week, meeting founders from some incredible tech communities from across the US, who will be here again for Collision in six weeks – the energy is incredible.
Last week, USA Today wondered if we are the new SXSW. We’re not. I love SXSW, but our focus is, as WIRED and VentureBeat have explained, on creating something very different powered by data, design and software.
We’ve added another 500 companies to our new attendee list, including 200 of Pepsi’s marketing team from around the world. If you’d like to join them and 10,000 others at Collision, I’d encourage you to get tickets after prices increase at midnight tonight… 🙂
If you’ve already booked your hotel room, let us know. If you want to stay with our attendees and speakers we’ve found some more great hotel options, after a few days of no availability.
PS. We’re delighted to share that KPMG, GE, Salesforce Ventures and the wonderful SendGrid are partnering with us for Collision. SendGrid joined us at our very first Web Summit a little over 5 years ago as a small startup out of Boulder. It’s been incredible to watch them grow.”
Do you need to run a kitchen of an established restaurant to create your living by cooking and build up your reputation as a restaurateur? Definitely not. I recently discovered Sven Vorkauf who had served his delicious German food on Julia Street at “White Linen Night”. Even better was the dining experience in a cafe called Jim at 3000 Royal street in the Bywater on a Friday evening. During the day it´s a cafe and on Friday evenings it transforms into a Popup, “We´ve got Soul”. Next door you can see a lot of beautiful art… Chef Tres Barnard cooks there for his audience once a week. Last Friday we ate there again. It was again a great choice for all three entrees he was offering. It´s really a valuable dining experience if hat you are looking for is great and creative wholesome food. You need only bring your own wine with you. Chef Tres Barnard runs this so called “Popup Restaurant.” There are several Popups in town.
In New Orleans a lot gets around by word of mouth. So do the Popups….beside this – these PopUp chefs communicate mainly through their Facebook pages and Twitter accounts right now. Another valuable source to read about Popups in town is on Splendid Pig´s Facebook page. Brandon Blackwell cooks not only all kind of pig variations, but also informs on his audience about who else is cooking in town…There are also other ways to to find out about these PopUp Restaurants…we will keep you posted…..
What if the american politician keep on going to play this hysteric game? Does it make sense? Who is interested in to get some diplomacy problems with China, Japan or Russia? Warren Buffet definitely is not among those people, is he? The noble price winners for economy of this year said we do not have to worry. They said: The US-Goverment would not be able to pay their bills for max one day. But even one day. Does it make sense? “You Should Only Have to Get Rich Once – How to Avoid Toxic Financial Advice and Focus on What Really Matters” by Russell E. Holcombe might help. Good luck to you all.
