Tom Dunne is one of our “tennis buddies.” He plays a consistant game, and it is always a pleasure to partner with him on the court at our weekend social tennis events, even though we both play left-handed. And by the way, together we even won once a double against the unbeatable “Psychologist” Harold Steinitz . So much for the records. Yesterday, Margarete and I had an invitation to enjoy a totally different Tom Dunne. Tom is a wood turner. He creates anything but everything out of wood. Beautiful wood! Our friends Lee Isaacson & Cynthia Knight invited us to their house on Napoleon Ave. in the honor of Tom Dunne to showcase his beautiful wood art work. It was a tremendous success! Tom sold over 30 pieces of his art in one evening! Tom really loves his art and you can feel it with every object he showed to us. Every piece is indeed unique. We also bought a beautiful wood bowl made of spalted sycamore from Audubon Park. Every piece is produced out of one piece of a tree stump. That´s the kind of wood you can keep forever. And our bowl will get a nice place in our home with a lasting memory of this evening. Thank you Lee & Cynthia for making this happen! You can find more about Tom Dunne´s art on his website “Artistic Wood Turning. com“
Honestly, I was fascinated when I watched this video interview of Stephen Schwarzman, CEO of Blackstone and the newly appointed Chairman of President’s Strategic and Policy Forum. This man is humble, sharp thinking, and positive. This video was recorded June 20, 1999 and published recently on YouTube on November 6, 2016 . Wouldn´t any political leader in the world be proud to have such a man heading up his or her advisory board?
Ashley Falkenstein Membership Developement Director of the Chamber of Commerce New Orleans mentioned Fernanda Previgliano in her Email to all ambassadors in September. Written by Kayla Siemann (MSYRN)
“Congrulations to Fernanda Previgliano for being the top producer on the Sales Team for June 2016 (239 %) and also for the second (165 %)!
Fernanda has been a Hyatt Regency New Orleans team member since re-opening in 2011. She started as an Operations Manager before moving to Director of Stewarding , and she finally became a member of the Sales Team in 2014. Currently she handles the Lousiana market.
In her free time Fernanda enjoys running, going to music concerts around the city and traveling to Spain & Argentina to visit her familiy and friends.
Margarete and I met Fernanda on a Hyatt clients welcome event in July! It was all about splendid food variations the hotel cooks can create. And it was great food. Fernanda and Chris organize clients events on a monthly basis. It is all about creating clients experience in the hotel. The next “Happy Hour” will be on 9-29-2016 between 5:30 – 7:30 pm in the Hotel this week!
Hi Chris, all my best to your birthday, today, Memorial Day or beginning of summer Margarete told me. I really like your new facebook profile. It´s a happy and honest picture with your “life partner in crime”. And I also like the background pic with you ´ll dancing….I guess Margarete and I would choose a pic at the tennis court, at toastmasters or in our kitchen. We both love cooking and dining. This blog is my communication hobby since 2011. I hope you like it:–))
We streamlined Margarete´s communication with dotloop this week. OMG. That´s a great step for her to get away from all this “paperwork” which is involved with her real estate business. I am just reading peoplework of Austin Allison and Chris Smith. It´s 2014 written but maybe the best book I have read this year…
Your Launch Pad is very often the starting point for entrepreneurs with a technical approach. And this week it seems to be a very special week in this concern…Yes, I work from home. And I am a curious person. And yes, this is a nice idea…to invite people in your office…we met there with the Infusionsoft User Group twice until now…
