“Truth and Freedom: Today I allow the truth to set me free. I didn´t expect enlightenment to hurt like this. I thought that if I became spiritual and free, the pain would not be there. I didn´t realize that an important step on my road to freedom was in releasing my beliefs that I own other people, that the world owes me some thing, that I can control my destiny. I know today what I cannot let go of has a permanent hold on me. Life is a journey and a spiritual unfolding is its purpose. I see that my ideas of how things had to be were an illusion and that the time and effort I expended trying to get my life to conform to my illusions kept me from my deeper truth…” After some travelling with a flu in bed I reread some value stuff. This is one of them: Taken from “Daily Affirmation for Forgiving and Moving On” from Tian Dayton. ( Powerful Inspiration for Personal Change)
Maribeth Mackenzie talks about (self-) branding within this little video. Every little piece of knowledge can get us further – but will also change the way we show up and get recognized. This week we experienced the power of video. Kathleen Gage made us aware about the simple and effective strategy of personal interaction on Facebook by video. Don´t get confused about my little videos this week (within the forum:–))) That wasn´t just a test drive! I am fully responsible for how I showed up! Yes, Maribeth your message fits perfectly…

Karen Gardner of Cooking Matters teaches about “Food Habits” at the Second Harvest Food Bank . I had the honor to join her classes the last 6 weeks on late Saturday mornings. We were thaught all essentials you need to know about the actual needs of your body, which ingredients a healthy meal should contain and what kind of offerings you can buy best were in New Orleans. We learnt to read the nutrition facts on food labels and we even went together once to a Rouses market. After each lesson we cooked delicious healthy meals and had lunch together. At the beginning and at the end all participants filled in a questionnaire about eating habits. I think it would be interesting to reflect the changes people had who have very little knowledge about a healthy life style.
Since a few weeks I practice Sri Sri Ravi Shankar´s breathing technic and meditation. This technic is called “Sudarshan Kriya” and is a powerful yet simple rhythmic breathing technique that incorporates specific natural rhythms of the breath, harmonizing the body, mind, and emotions. The technique helps eliminate stress, sleepiness, and negative emotions such as anger, frustration, and depression. It leaves the mind calm, focused, and the body energized and completely relaxed. It is a blessing for me. Sri Sri continues the invaluable and honest Indian tradition of peace making. I am happy to encounter this technique at the the local chapter of the “Art of Living” in New Orleans. Here you can discover his belssings in the following video:
