Carlos Santana is a journey in my youth. Before we decided to watch and to listen to him at the JazzFestival in New Orleans on Friday last week I had to think about my five elder sisters. Not specifically about one of them but about “Black Magic Woman”. I can still remember listen to it on the turntable in my mom´s house in Nordwalde. The house where we all grew up. Carlos with his 67 years was still a great experience at the end of the day at open air concert of the JazzFestival. We were at the right time at the right place at the festival. Carlos mentioned in his interview in the afternoon one very interesting thing I kept in mind: “If you play the guitar quick you should think slow and if you play the guitar slow you should think quick”. Isn´t that a wonderful statement… In my mind this truth does not apply for playing an instrument only but it does for everything we are doing. What do you think? Do you have an idea?In other words: When do you do something contrarily instead? Feldenkrais is a great example for this behavoir. We just enjoyed the music. That´s New Orleans JazzFestival. Thank you.
