13 companies ( 4D, Where Yart.net, Locally Perserved, FundDat, cultureconnect, CajunFire, Threadix, BitBike, APT, MakerState, KREWE du optic, I see Change, and Bats on Tees) competed with each other for the BIG IDEA at the last event of the New Orleans Enterpreneur Week on Friday March 28th. All teams were represented, but only the top 3 made their pitch to the audience. Only one won the competition this year. Last year all three tied for first place and received 50.000 Dollars. This year “Cajun Fire” Brewery won first place. Did we have 12 loosers? Definitely not. Rhonda Abrahms, president and Chief Entrepreneur USA Today Small Business Colmunist, gave in her keynote speech one day before at the NOEW and offered some great advice about turning “failure” into success………….
